League Admin Guide
Last updated September 12, 2026
For whoever holds the league admin password (not the town passwords — those are covered in the Commissioner Guide). This page is not in the menu.
Signing in
More → Admin, type the league password. You get every tab. Tap Sign out when you're done on a shared computer.
The tabs you'll actually use
- Scores — every game in the league. The All towns dropdown narrows it to one town; commissioners see only their own.
- Schedule — add, move or cancel games, mark a date rained/snowed out, fix a time or gym. Every change is logged.
- Build Schedule — generates a whole division's season at once. See Building the season schedule below.
- Teams — each team's name, division and Town. The Town must be spelled the same on every team from that town; it is what decides which games a commissioner may score. Deactivate a team that drops out rather than deleting it.
- Gyms — the gym list with addresses. This feeds the Gyms page, the schedule editor's gym dropdown and the schedule builder.
- Volunteers — generate clock / scorebook / snack-bar shifts from the schedule, edit them, and see who signed up (contact details never appear on the website).
- Playoffs — build the end-of-season bracket: divisions, rounds, matchups, then results. The public Playoffs page (under More) says "not published yet" until you tick Active.
- Alerts — the banner across the top of the home page: weather, closures, deadlines. Clear it when it's over.
- Send Message — email or text everyone who signed up for alerts.
- Rules and Pages — edit the rulebook and the About / Contact / Sponsors pages in place.
- Sponsors — logos for the footer strip on every page.
- Health — a snapshot of the league, plus Remove sample season (see below).
Building the season schedule
Build Schedule makes a division's whole season in one go and shows it to you before anything is saved. Do one division at a time; each run works around the games already on the calendar, so two divisions never get the same gym at the same time.
- Teams — pick the division. Everyone in it is ticked; untick any team that isn't playing.
- When — first Saturday, last Saturday, and the off days (Thanksgiving weekend, the Christmas break). Leave Games for each team on Everyone plays everyone unless the league wants a fixed number of games instead.
- Gyms and times — add every gym that's available and tap the start times it runs. A gym with two courts: set Courts to 2.
- Teams that must not play each other — only if there are any.
- Game rules — the settings that make a game day sane. The ones that matter here: Season shape (everyone plays everyone once), Game length 75 minutes, Games per team per day 1, and Teams that share a coach — click the two teams a coach runs (a 3rd-grade and a 5th-grade team, say) and they'll never be in two gyms at the same moment. Press Save these rules once; they're kept for next time.
- Press Build schedule. The preview lists every game by week, with a grade (home/away balance, fair share of early and late starts, spread across gyms). Try another layout gives you a different draw with the same settings — keep the one you like. The both towns could host list is where you decide who's home when two towns each have a gym.
- Create the games puts them on the live schedule. If you change your mind straight away, Undo this generation takes back exactly those games. Save as draft keeps a version without posting it.
Two cautions. Leave Club / organization in Per-team settings empty — it means "these teams never play each other", which is not what a town is. And build every division before you hand-edit any game, so the builder sees the full picture.
Sample season
Until the real teams are loaded, the site shows placeholder teams, gyms and results with a yellow "Sample data" banner. When the real data goes in, Health → Remove sample season deletes every sample team, game, result and generated volunteer shift in one go and takes the banner down. It never touches anything that wasn't sample data.
What goes through the league's site builder
Loading the real teams, schedule and gyms from your spreadsheets, changing the logo or colours, and anything about the domain or sign-in passwords. Send those over rather than retyping them into the admin — they load in one step and stay consistent.
